Licence

A licence, not a sale of the product

When you buy a shelf product, you buy a licence to use a copy in your business. You do not buy the intellectual property in the base product, and you do not receive an exclusive right to it.

Each customer gets their own copy. A fix we make to the base can later be applied to your copy where it is useful and safe.

What you own

You own your logo, your name, your copy, and the data your business puts into the system. We do not claim your customer records.

Configuration that only makes sense for you, such as your price list or your booking rules, is yours to keep using under the licence.

What you may not do

You may not resell the product, rent it out as a software business of your own, or publish the source as a public project, unless the quote says otherwise in writing.

You may not remove notices that identify Zaviks Tech as the author of the base product. Your own brand can still be what your users see.

How long it lasts

The licence lasts for as long as you use the copy in line with these terms and the quote. We can end it if you seriously break the terms and do not fix that after we have written to you.

Ending the licence does not erase your data. We will agree a handover of an export before access is removed.
